Mayan Calendar
2012 Ancient Mayan Prophecy
Perhaps that time has not come yet when our, Gods would listen to the beats in our hearts, peace and happiness spread their glow, perhaps we would have to force Mother Time?.
Does Anybody Else Believe In The 2012 Doomsday?
It’s really hard for me to hear so many theories that 2012 is the real Doomsday. I’m not even 16 yet and I have so many dreams for my future and to think that I’ll never get to experience it. My mom always tells me that people have said the world will end before and that God states in the bible that nobody will ever know when the world will end but him. But all these theories seem so accurate. The Mayan calendar, the global warming, etc. Does anyone know the truth?

2012 is predicted by some with New Age beliefs to be a great year of spiritual transformation (or alternatively an apocalypse). This is in keeping with an uncodified, eclectic belief system referred to as Mayanism whose roots can be found in 16th century Christian eschatology affecting Maya texts such as the Popol Vuh and the Books of Chilam Balam that were written down after the Spanish Conquest.
Yes, nothing last forever and eventually it will end but not in the next 4 years. What the Mayan calendar predicts about the sun’s alignment and what not happens about every 4,000 to 5,000 years and the earth is over 40 Billion years old, and its still here after all this time. The universe recycles it’s self about once every trillion years there’s plenty of time before anything is going to happen, and when it does we will be long gone. So live your life, and don’t worry about “doomsday” cuz the world was suppose to crash in 2000, and there was suppose to be a nuclear war in 2008 according to the bible code but nothing has happened. People get bored and find patterns of things that happened and try to predict what will happen next but in reality its an educated guess. Something is only true if you believe it’s true.
I like to believe that something very dramitic is just over the horizon unseen but about to happen. Whether its a good or bad event is purely speculation that depends on the individuals disposition. Living every day as though it may be the last and getting the most out of every moment means that even if it were the end you lived a fulfilled life. Sure maybe you dont get everything that you wanted but you surely got everything that you needed. Take the good from everything encountered during your day and let go of the bad. If youre gonna carry bagage pack only your favorite things.
God does not say that no one knows when the world will end, he says no one knows when Jesus will come back. The Bible gives us lots of clues to know when the end of times will be upon us. There is some very eerie evidence surrounding December 21st, 2012, I think it is fascinating, it is a little fun to speculate about the end of the world. Maybe it will come and go and be another Y2K, maybe the Mayans knew what they were talking about. It does not necessarily mean that the world is going to end, some people believe that we are going to enter an alternate dimension, or obtain higher consciousness. Watch this special on all the propechies that indicate that something very big will happen that date. I know I will also be very unhappy if the world ends in 2012, I will barely be six months out of college, if the world will truly end on that date, I would have rather spent the money traveling the world and enjoying life! What if I never get to have a family of my own? I share your worries.
Your mom is right and you should just believe her. In history, people have predicted doomsday for every imaginable date. There was supposed to be an “end of the world” this September and guess what? We’re still here.Y2K has also been one with a lot of “evidence” to back it up too. In your lifetime you’ve already experienced two supposed doomsday and people have probably been predicting them this frequently for as long as you can imagine. No one knows if they’re really true of not but the odds suggest that the world isn’t going to end so easily. Just forget about them and live your life.
i wasn’t going to answer this like stacy but i also have looked at all the evidence worked way through the cr#p and was left thinking there was a good chance something could happen, the mayan calendar stops on the date that earth would interact with another planet, anything past that date would be inaccurate as some cycles and orbits could be changed! im sure the wool is over our eyes on this! just what i think though so i wouldn’t worry either
p.s. to the ignorant people that give me thumbs down on this i’d like to hear just why this isn’t possible? because someone said world would end before ain’t a reason!
i think this doomsday 2012 is true. i think everything that is happening now are warnings to us. we need to stop pollution, littering, etc.
if the mayan calender ends on dec. 12, 2012 then who is to say that the world wont end on that day. maybe god is trying to tell us stuff about this but no one believes it.
nope – its just you.
the secret is everyone who predicts doom – y2k for example, is forgotten as soon as we all get past it. the sheep are so relieved the world didn’t go kabluey, no one says ‘hey, john said planes were going to fall out of the sky – i think we should dismiss john as a trustworthy resourse”
They said that for 2008, 2004, 2000 as well as years past. There’s always some crazy group saying the world will end in the next 5 – 10 years. The truth is, nobody knows when earth will end. When earth ends, I doubt there will be anyone surviving long enough to figure out that it ended.
The truth is that every generation of humans have probably considered themselves special in some way and there have been doomsday prophecies since the beginning of written history.
I definitely wouldn’t worry about it if I were you and I’d keep going about life as normal.
No one can truly know the answer. Don’t waste your life worrying about it because there’s nothing you can do about it anyway.
Well i think the mayan calender couldn’t see anything past that date, something to do with stars or something so theres probably nothing you should worry about
As much as I did not want to answer this, Yes I believe in it too =/
and nobody here knows the truth…I just don’t want to waste time doing things I don’t want to do & be worrying constantly…
The world can’t end in 2012, because it’s going to end in 2060–I trust Isaac Newton over the Mayan calender.
hahah no im 14 and this crap is terrible those same people who believe we are gonna die in 2012 said aliens would invade us a few weeks ago
dont worry.. its not true
No one I have spoken to beleives in the 2012 doomsday.
One of several Mayan calendars is the Long Count calendar, which is reset to day 0 every 1,872,000 days or 7057.5 years. The next reset date, by some calculations, is December 21, 2012. This is not a prediction of the end of the world.
Ever since the Y2K and 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenarios did not pan out, the scare mongers, conspiracy theorists, book sellers, and television executives have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. When 2012 does not happen either, I am sure they will think of something else.
“But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come.” (Mark 13:32-33)
Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.
The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.
The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus’ advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.
Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time.
